The Night Sophea* Met Jesus

Sophea was seventeen years old when she came to the crusade ground. She had not come to find God. She had come because her friend had asked her to, and because the night was warm and the music carried across the neighbourhood. She stood at the back of the crowd, arms folded, watching.

"I had never heard that I was loved. Not like that. Not with no conditions. I didn't know what to do with it."

When the altar call was made, Sophea did not move at first. She told us later that something in her chest felt like it was breaking open — not painfully, but the way a window breaks open into light. She walked forward. She knelt in the dirt. And she gave her life to Jesus Christ.

That night, she became one of 3,196 people who made a decision to follow Jesus in 2025 — mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, grandmothers and young people across Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, and beyond who heard, perhaps for the very first time, that they were known and deeply loved by God.

Sophea is now part of a local discipleship group. She reads her Bible. She has told four friends about Jesus. She is one story among thousands — and you made it possible.
